As I have in stock many of the last Smith Coronas manufactured
in this country, I seldom see the Sunburst Yellow Galaxie Twelve in
new condition.
This yellow rose of Texas came to me in its carton with
book, warranty packet and still had the ribbon it left the factory with
some thirty odd years ago. (See factory spools
for more info on ribbons and spools)
I will need to replace the platen as even though it has
not seen any wear over the years, the rubber has hardened and I don't
want to damage the type with a hard platen. Also the ribbons will be
replaced with new ones, although they will be on the factory spools
that came with this typer.
