Here we are talking one late model Underwood #5
from 1929/30.
I hear tell these old bangers were manufactured
up until 1931, but Mr. T's thinking is that they were being
assembled from existing parts.
As Underwood #5's go, most models that look
and work as new would be a plus for show and tell. However
for the wordsmith that would like some old typer for a bit
more, then twenty plus years younger would be in order. This
should make a good deal of smarts even to the new-comer to
old bangers.
