Here is a remnant of the cold war at its height; manufactured in a country that no longer exists - West Germany.
When you were on the move in Europe conducting clandestine operations, you often had to make do with whatever equipment you could find. This is one of the finer examples of West German typewriters that were ever produced. Sturdy, dependable, and crisp to the touch, this was a wonder to use, and often painful to leave behind as you left via the back entrance with nothing but your clothes, trusty PPK and fake i.d.'s.
This beautiful Torpedo is a real find. Ready to type out your secret notes, or that novel about your heretofore classified escapades in the Eastern European theatre of operations.
Comes with everything shown here - case, book cover and brush - all mint.
