This old banger came from a word smith who had been there and did that.He favored something that was easy to spot when at conventions, as many writers would simply park there machines at the back of the room for fast access.(I was also told that he liked this machine because after the third of fourth happy hour break, all the typers would start looking the same...)This old word smith went on to tell me that it was not too well known, but writers that still used these old manual typers were more apt to pull a cork than those computer boys! This unusual pre-war Royal Quiet Deluxe in a tobacco and sand color, comes complete with a nice tweed case and book. |
