Here is a very early example of the legendary Corona Flattop, serial # 1w 6xxx.
It was sent back to the factory and texture refinished. The cherry color was added at a later date.
Typers were very hard to come by in the early forty's and this was very common to have them refinished or repainted. All manufactures and even Sears were selling rebuilt machines at this time.
This beautiful example of early craftsmanship comes with a very nice case and I'll make a copy of the book for you and of course, "it don't mean a thing" if it doesn't have my personal guarantee of "Fine Old Typewriter."
